Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 August 2026 — applies to the “My Ahd” (عهدي) iOS app.

1. Scope

My Ahd is an app for planning and tracking Quran practice (recitation, memorization, and revision). This policy describes how the app handles your data. It applies to the iOS app and to myahdapp.com.

2. What we do not collect

My Ahd does not collect or transmit any of the following to us:

• No name, email address, or phone number — there is no sign-in at all.
• No advertising identifier (IDFA) and no cross-app tracking.
• No third-party analytics or usage-measurement SDKs.
• No advertising or ad networks.
• No contacts, photos, microphone, or browsing history.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone, for the simple reason that we never receive it.

3. Your data and where it lives

Everything you create in the app — your plans, daily progress, settings, and reading position — is stored on your device.

If you enable sync, that data is replicated through Apple’s CloudKit to the private database of your own iCloud account. It stays within your account, governed by Apple’s terms and protections. The developer has no access to it and cannot read it. You can turn sync off at any time in the app’s settings.

The Quran text and page data are bundled inside the app itself and require no network connection to display.

4. Location and prayer times

This is the only case where data leaves your device to a third party, so we describe it precisely:

• What is sent: your latitude and longitude, together with the requested date range and your chosen calculation method. No identifier for you or your device is sent with it.
• Why: to calculate prayer times at your location, so you can anchor your daily reminders to prayer times.
• Where: to the Aladhan service operated by Islamic Network, at api.aladhan.com.
• When: only if you grant location permission and use the prayer-times feature. If you decline, nothing is sent and the rest of the app works fully.

We do not retain your coordinates on any server of ours. Aladhan’s own handling of requests is governed by their terms.

You can withdraw location permission at any time in Settings → My Ahd → Location on your device.

5. Notifications

Reminders and motivational messages are scheduled and delivered locally on your device. We send no marketing notifications and hold no reminder schedule outside your device and your own iCloud account. You can disable notifications entirely in your device settings.

6. Children

My Ahd is suitable for all ages and collects no personal data from any user, including children under 13.

7. Deleting your data

Because we do not hold your data, deletion is entirely in your hands:

• Deleting the app from your device removes the local copy.
• To remove the synced copy, delete the app’s data in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
• You can also reset the app from within its own settings.

8. Changes to this policy

If the way the app handles data changes, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
